Overview
Ally Duplechain concentrates her practice in commercial litigation and civil appeal. She graduated magna cum laude and Order of the Coif from Tulane University Law School in 2020, where she focused her studies on Louisiana’s civil law and earned a Civil Law certificate. While at Tulane, Ms. Duplechain served as a managing editor of the Tulane Law Review and as a senior fellow for the first year legal research and writing course. She tutored first year students though the Academic Support Program and, outside of school, served as an extern for Judge Susie Morgan of the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Louisiana. Prior to law school, Ms. Duplechain earned a B.S. in Psychology at Louisiana State University in 2017.

Represented government entities on appeal, briefed and defeated petitions for writs of mandamus seeking transfer to a distant venue (U.S. Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals, 2023)

Represented a commercial party on appeal, obtained the reversal of a fee award on the basis that the opposing party had materially breached the contract and thus forfeited its right to enforce the obligation (Louisiana Supreme Court, 2023)

Represented a commercial landlord, obtained summary judgment for all past-due rent and successfully defended the judgment on appeal (24th Judicial District Court and Louisiana Fifth Circuit Court of Appeal, 2023)
