Flanagan Partners partner, Harold J. Flanagan, has been asked to give a presentation at the Outer Continental Shelf Advisory Board (“OCSAB”) 2018 Workshop in The Woodlands, Texas on January 31, 2018. This event is focused on promoting the continuing education of land, legal, and other exploration and production professionals with regard to laws, policies, regulations, and contracting practices in the U.S. Outer Continental Shelf. The Workshop features presentations by key U.S. regulators, as well as by experienced and respected industry legal and land professionals.
Mr. Flanagan’s presentation, entitled “Will Your Risk Allocation Scheme Be Enforced? Texas’s and Louisiana’s Approach to Anti-Indemnity,” will focus on the oilfield anti-indemnity acts of each state, with an emphasis on how they impact work on the Outer Continental Shelf.
